Fishing-Always wanted to learn how to fish or take your kids fishing? Let Andy show you how.  I can get you started right away with everything you need.  I have lots of gear, and we can be on the water fast.  After realizing how much you love it, I can help you buy all the gear to go on your own next time.

 

Hunting- I have been hunting 30 years.  I can teach you all the basics of Archery, Crossbow and shotgun hunting for deer.  I can help you get started bird hunting as well—ducks and geese?  Did you know in Illinois you can only use a shotgun(or a black powder gun) when firearm hunting?  The Archery season opens Oct. 1—I can get you up and running with Archery by then, or crossbow.  I can also help you learn how to field dress your animal, and have a great local butcher who can take it from there!

 

Chickens- Having a backyard chicken coop is easier than you think!  I can help you get your coop up and running pretty quick.  I can help you get everything you need to start enjoying fresh eggs every day, once the girls start laying.  Don’t worry about any early morning “cock-a-doodle-dos” as your coop will only have hens!  You never forget your first---egg.

 

Bees- Having a hive in your backyard is great for both the environment and you!  Did you know eating honey pollinated by local flowers can help reduce allergies?  Spring is the time to get your hive up and running, and once it is, it is virtually maintenance free—until its time to harvest your first batch of honey.  In the meantime, you will be able to observe and understand where the phrase “busy as a bee” came from!

 

Camping-  It seems a bit intimidating to get started, but once you have the basics down, you will be hooked.  The Midwest offers some outstanding public campgrounds, and now is the time to give it a try.  We can spend the first few nights in your backyard (or mine) for a dry run, before you hit the road.  I have enough gear to give it a try, before you buy anything.  When you do want to buy, I can help with that too.

 

Firearms- Owning a gun for the first time is obviously a serious responsibility.  I can help you with the basics regarding making sure you have the right license, and if you so choose, how to get your concealed carry permit.  Firearms SAFETY is stressed throughout.
